Q:Ok I will be 16 in March here(today is 2/16/09), I'm 5'11-6'0(somewhere between there) and weigh 161 ilbs and I can bench press 185 ilbs.
Three things that need to be taken into consideration your age, height, and body type, not given. 161 lbs is not bad if there is no fat involved. However, if you are trying to get rid ofbaby fat it is best that you press lighter weights doing more reps so as to burn fat.
Q:i am 13 and sexy but have those stupid pubety boob stuff so i wanan stat bench pressing so will it?
Seems have a big turn in a person's life. The external form of a person is ideal in the eyes of the planet when every feature is assembled in flawlessness or very nearly there. Of all of them, height represents an important role. Height is not just lots is one of the critical standards in plenty of areas: sports, being a part of the security force, wooing someone, obtaining a work or just bolstering one's assurance therefore
Q:What were some impacts of the printing press and changes?I just need a list like1.something something something2.something something something3.something something somethingits for an essay but i will do the research I just need some starts!
1: The printing press made the manufacturing of books cheaper, easier, and faster. 2: The printing press allowed books to be accessible to more people (cheaper and greater amount of books.) 3: The printing press allowed the spread of ideas across a wider area (spread of books --spread of knowledge/ideas) How's that?
Q:I am writing a paper and I need to know how the printing press caused the reformation, and how it lead to political, social, and economical changes. If you know any articles websites or books about this please let me know. Also any facts about the subject would be much appreciated.
The Printing Press certainly DID NOT cause the Reformation. It certainly helped it along though. Bulk printing copies instead of hand writing them out helped distribute documents 1000 times quicker than before. Which means a 1000 more people would get to read them. It also meant that anyone with a printing press could PRINT just about anything out without the blessings or without the directions of the leaders, the Pope, or the Church. Whereas pretty much the only people that were processing any kind of documents before the printing press was one of the above three.... the leaders, the Pope, and the Church. Free Press!
Q:I saw press on nail polish and I was wondering how it actually stays on your nails.
Press-on nail polish is more like stickers for your nails. You remove the backing and you stick them on your nails. You may want to cut them to suit your nail shape. It gives your nails an effect of wearing nail polish. You don't have to wait for it to dry like nail polish.
Q:Everytime I bench press I get shoulder pain in either one of my shoulders. Im 18 and trying to get jacked. I dont want to see go see a doctor I just want to know how to get my chest swole without hurting my shoulders. what exercises
How are you gripping and where on the bar are you gripping. When you come down with the bar, it should be on your nipple line and press up and slightly back, almost like an arch. You WILL almost always feel your shoulders being worked on BP, but the pain should not set it. I would lower the weight and work my way back up by getting more strength. Simply pyramid. For example 135lbs x 12 reps 145lbs x 10 reps 155lbs x 8 reps 165x 6 reps 145 x Failure This exact routine will help build strength and size and will give you a nice pump to engorge those muscles with blood and nutrients, meaning if you eat a meal or take a protein shake right after, it will easily be delivered into the muscle fibers. This is just an example, do it to YOUR OWN strength levels. Don't try and be braveheart on the first set because the rest of your regiment will fail. Good luck.
Q:Whats the difference between the two? Is bench press better than doing push ups?
Doing push ups works more of the upper back muscles (trapezes or traps) along with the chest, triceps and shoulder muscles including the rear deltoids. Doing push ups you have to balance your weight which also works the ligaments and tendons of the muscles. A free weight bench press is the same as a push up because you have to balance the weight. The free weight bench works everything the push up works except the traps and rear deltoids. FYI: Whenever you can, do free weights. They work your ligaments and tendons along with the muscles because you have to balance the weights while you are pushing or pulling them. In my opinion the push up is better than a bench press because it does work more muscles. This does depend on how big you want to get. Your body weight can only build so much muscle. For me my body weight is enough and therefore the push up is better for me. Someone else may have different goals and of course the push up will not be good enough for them. However, there are creative ways to add weight to the push up to make them more difficult for more challenging goals.
Q:Hi,have a new job and will travel 5 days a week...any secrets for keeping a couple suits and shirts pressed? Thanks in advance
Most hotels will provide an iron in your room but you can keep things pressed by layering the shirts with tissue paper when you pack; also there is usually an elastic-type pull-out line of sorts in the hotel bathroom where you can hang your shirt on its hanger while you are showering, and the steam from the shower will steam out the wrinkles. Certain fabric blends show wrinkles less than others--- try a couple of different rayon or nylon and cotton blends till you find something that you are comfortable in and doesn't show the wrinkles. Do not count on being able to hang your garment bag on the plane--- many planes no longer have little closets and when they do, they are reserved for first-class passengers (although with that much travel, you should have free upgrades to first class pretty quickly). A small aerosol bottle of Static Guard helps a lot too!
Q:How come you are not suppose to come in contact with people you're pressing charges against. I mean what happens if you do?
Never mix business with pleasure.
Q:Setting up a home gym, currently have a barbell and dumbell set but no bench. Will doing a floor press build significant mass until i can get a bench?
Muscular hypertrophy (growth) is accomplished through proper diet and employment of the overload principle. This principle states that progressive overload with sufficient resistance leads to a muscle getting stronger (and thus larger) over time. All of this is a fancy way of saying that you can make your muscles larger if you work them out with sufficient loading. Your muscles don't care if you are using a fancy piece of equipment in a large gym, or simply lifting a heavy rock. The effect will be the same. In fact, nearly all fitness experts prefer natural lifting movements over large ranges of motion (press, squat, etc.) to isolation equipment because they harness larger numbers of muscles and develop balance, coordination, in addition to growth. Workout benches are really all about convenience. They are padded for comfort, and serve to eliminate the need for you to get down on the floor and back up again over and over. Many exercises, particularly dumbbells, are actually more safely done with you lying on the floor! This is because laying on the floor eliminates the danger of dumbbells pulling your arms beyond their normal range of motion. For example, if you perform dumbbell flies lying on your back on the floor, then your arms can't drop below the level of your body - they hit the floor and stop. On a bench, you are at risk for extending too far as your muscles get tired, and this could lead to sprains or tears. Mark Rippetoe (a famous body building trainer) discusses the history of the bench in several of his books. He pointed out that the popular bench press exercise was, in times past, performed on the floor! He points out that this this exercise is much safer when done on the floor, and probably a better overall workout. Nevertheless, he concedes that the bench is here to stay. If you already have dumbbells, the only thing you need to do a huge number of exercises is an exercise pad - of if budget is an issue, an old piece of carpet!
