Q:i have a motorcycle which i accidentally left the keys on and the battery went dead anyway started it with the kickstart and its started fine when i got back i switched it off the break light no longer work everything else does what could it be
It is pretty frequent for bulbs to burn out when there is battery trouble. Also, as you probably already know, bike batteries are REALLY touchy. They never have enough power to begin with, and they drain too easily--even just by not riding it for a few weeks. Once the battery is drained like that, it is damaged, and it will never be itself again. You will find yourself having to make sure you always ride long distances, to give it enough charge to start up the bike the next time you ride! So just always be careful to keep your battery fully charged and in good condition, for the sake of your lights as well as to avoid having to jump-start your bike. (which can cause lots of problems, 'specially if you jump from a car or truck!)
Q:I won a Custom Motorcycle that came with no Speedometer, no turn signals, no mirrors, and the front brake does not work the brake light. From what I have read I don‘t need turn signals to pass an inspection if the motorcycle was built without them? But do I need a speedometer, Mirrors, and a front brake light to pass an inspection?
Sounds like a show motorcycle, not built for the street. Pure Butt Jewelry. Equipment is trivial. First thing to do is to find out if the motor is emission legal for the street.
Q:my brake light wont work from the lever or pedal but if i puy a live to the wires on brake lever it will come on. How can i fix it??? Please help??????
RECENTLY, both brake switches on my bike failed, New switches fixed it. The front switch is a micro switch, the rear is spring loaded, Both are EASY to replace. Go ahead and pay the cost difference at the dealer, I saved $4 on the switch and paid $7 shipping, and it took a week to arrive.
Q:Never had one before. How can I learn how to get started? I want to learn to ride well and be able to repair my own bike?
First of all don't bother !! Like the movie said, You'll shoot your eye out !! If you get one then you will only have 2 days of happiness !! the day you bought it and the day you sell it and get rid of it !!! And don't even think of repairing it!!! Not with your knowledge !! It will have to be repaired by a motorcycle shop and often !! You will not have any riding time because it will be in being fixed all the time ,so you won't be able to learn how to ride !!!! Sorry , but you can't have one !!!!!
Q:I bought a mini motorcycle for my son, I lost the manual so I dont know how to staert it. It has a pull cord that husband can start it with, but it also has a button for electric start. I have a feeling Im supposed to do something while holding the button to make it start Im just not sure what. Also underneath the bike there is a thing that slides up and down, I dont know if it needs to be up or down to start, I guess its the throttle?! Please help its a SST mini motorcycle. My husband is working out of town, so I need t start it myself.
If you've lost the manual, you should probably try to get another one - this won't be the only issue you'll need to look up. Find a dealer and buy one from them, or look online.
Q:I‘m 16 years old and am going to get my car and motorcycle license in about half a year. Although I don‘t have experience on the road by myself. I feel confident in my abilities and am eager to start on a 2008 Honda CBR600rr. I‘m not looking for people to tell me Oh you shouldn‘t start on a 600cc bike. Rather I‘m looking for tips and advice to improve my knowledge of what and what not to do. I have never driven a motorcycle yet but will definitely take the safety courses and be responsible in learning to ride the CBR600rr. Any advice from starting up the bike, to riding it on a main highway wIll be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
In crowded areas do not split traffic, make shure the cars around you know where you are. If you have a manual#x2F;clutch bike then practice not stalling it, you will look stupid stalling your bike on a public road. I learned on a dirtbike, thats the best place to learn if you have a friend that has one or something.
