Q:What is the meaning of the car wheel? For example, 255/55 R18; behind the R18 is the diameter of it, is the whole tire or wheel hub?
Example: P215 / 60R18 89H "P" refers to car tires. (To distinguish tires for trucks or other models) "215" means the width of the tire section, the width (in millimeters) between the two sidewalls. This width varies with the width of the rims matched by the tires: wide rims with wide tires, narrow rims with narrow tires. The width of the tire, which is generally marked on the sidewall, refers to the width of the tire when the tire is mounted to the desired width of the rim. "60" is the flat ratio of the tire, the width of the tire width and the height of the tire, where the tire height accounted for 65% of the width of the tire, the smaller the value, the more flat. "R" refers to the structure of the tire, indicating that the tire is a meridian structure, that is to say its ply is arranged in the carcass. "B" means that the tire is a skew structure, the current skewed car tires have ceased to exist. "18" indicates the rim diameter (in inches), the tire must match the 18-inch rim, otherwise it can not be installed. "89" indicates the load index: This tire has a maximum load of 1,279 pounds. Different load indices represent different maximum loads (usually in pounds or kilograms). "H" indicates the speed level: the maximum speed of the tire is 130 miles per hour. The old European bead marking system is indicated by 215 / 65HR15. Different English letters indicate different speed levels.
Q:im making a custom bike and want a small front tire could i use like a razor scooter wheelor maybe like a moped wheel or just a small bicycle wheelwhere would i be able to get one
Use a 12 1/2 pneumatic bicycle/scooter wheel. Pro bike shops usually have scooters with these types of wheels around, toddler bikes have the wheels on them. I recently bought a set of 12 1/2 Kenda tires and some Bell tubes, every bit the quality of larger ones for a friends kids Tonka bike. Also, in the late 80's early 90's when I was a kid there was slew of cheap scooters with mag wheels and pneumatic tires, but they were a pain in the rear to air up since they had so little rim to hub clearance. I'm sure you can find one of those locally at a pawn shop or junk dealer no problem, I think they were 8 1/2 x 2 or something.
Q:Really want a new steering wheel on my 1990 truck.Old one is too big, worn etc. It‘s and easy install, really simple.no power steering, no airbags etc. I know the cost for a new wheel and installation ( If i didn‘t do it myself )How common is it for an aftermarket wheel to come off or for it to strip the hub etc, Id prefer to not crash at 65 mph. I would assume it‘s no more dangerous than the wheel on my truck now, but just wondering.
No known probs with aftermarket steering wheels. I have had a grant classic 13 wheel (same steering wheel) in 3 cars over the past 13 years. No probs with it. These 3 cars have been street/strip cars ranging from 300 HP to 600 HP.My camaro now is 600 HP, took to dragstrip every weekend runs 125 mph through the 1/4 mile, drove to track and back 2 hours each way, used as a daily driver car for 7 years with about 10K miles per year. My GF has a grant GT wheel on her '87 burb that came off my dad's toyota pickup that he had for 8 years (had to buy a new install kit to put it on her chevy though) I have a grant classic wheel on my 1988 S10 You have nothing to worry about when it comes to the safty of an aftermarket steering wheel. Just buy the right install hub/kit for your car and install like the papers says to and you'll be fine
Q:hi guys, if you ride harder skateboard wheels on rough ground will they get worn out easier than soft wheels or does it just feel more comfortable. i like harder wheels better because of things like powerslides or tricks that wear the wheels down, but there are also some skate spots that have rough ground, i really don‘t mind the friction i just mind ifthe wheels wear down or not. so can i stay with hard wheels?
umm id go with soft wheels for hard grounds they last longer! but hard wheels you do have more abilitys with! so its a money matter!
Q:Edge vs Mr.KennedyWhat does the Stipulation on wheel say
3 Stages of Hell -Street Fight/Hardcore Match -Bull Rope Match -Hell in a Cell Match i just love the 3 stages of hell, as you have 3 stipulations in 1 match.
Q:What is the meaning of J on the wheel?
No specific meaning, is the same with the name of people, but in a few letters when the arrangement is often representative of the height of the changes in the rim
Q:Why do many high end bikes have more spokes in the rear wheel than in the front? I understand that the rear wheel supports more weight and it drives the bike. However when you brake hard weight shifts forward and most of the braking torque is thru the front wheel. I‘d think the front wheel should be as least as strong as the rear? Am I missing something?
The braking is on the rim. No torque is applied to the front wheel. Rear wheel carries 2/3 of the weight or more. Also must endure torque loads from the hub. I've never been a fan of less spokes. The weight saving is negligible. The aero improvement is imaginary, as more spokes approach a disc aerodynamically. Stiff wheels deliver power to forward motion more efficiently.
Q:also where to buy them??
Orangoutang wheels are great for sliding! I have a pair of 86a yellow Orangatang In-Heats on my Loaded Dervish and couldn't ask for a better set of sliding wheels. You might also want to look into the orange In-heats, I think they are 84a but they seem to be very popular in a lot of sliding videos. I bought my wheels from Boards on Noard but you can also ding them on the Orangatang website or in local skateshops. Hope I could help!
Q:where can I get cheap but nice BMW 328i wheels?
Be very careful about your wheel selection for your 328i. Make shure you try them on the front and back axles before buying. Watch out for wheels that have different offset measurements or larger diameters or no guarantee to be designed for BMW use. Be extra careful when purchasing aftermarket wheels or salvage wheels.
Q:Dream of driving, the wheel out of a what is the meaning
Dream of driving the wheel out of a means: to assess their ability. These two days you will be because of the recent smooth road, excited from the high self-confidence. And often in this mood, then took to you quite difficult to work / study. Although in the end you will be by virtue of their own efforts to complete, but in a very long period of time, it will become you can not rest assured that the burden! Be careful!
