Q:I have an entertainment center that seems a little unsturdy and I have the brackets for it but I need to know where to place them to make it more sturdy. let me know if you have any experience with this.
if the brackets are L shaped, they go on a corner. If straight or T shape, they go in the middle
Q:I don't know a lot about finance, but I am wondering where the idea that taxing based on 'brackets on income' came from? It makes more sense to me to tax everyone the same percentage of their taxable income. Can someone explain to me why the brackets work better than a percentage? Thanks!
Brackets are thought to be more fair, since people with more income are thought to be more able to pay more.
Q:I don't chew a lot of gum, if I do it's for a short time. i don't eat any hard foods. i normally eat stuff like rice, chips, noodles, pasta, crisps(sometimes) and my bracket becomes loose and eventually falls out into my mouth so I just take it out and put it into a tissue. it's happened like 3 times now. the first time it was the bracket right at the back on my top set of teeth, and the 2nd time it was the same one and now the third time it's my bottom set of teeth right at the back. the orthodontist glues it very weirdly, so maybe it's that? I don't know. they keep telling to be careful and they keep shouting at me. and threatning me that they'll take my braces off. but it's not my fault. what should I do?
When brackets keep coming off it is rarely the dentist's fault but yours. It's not only what you eat that affects it but how you chew. Gum, even sometimes is a no-no, chips are a no-no, and anything that is hard to chew or is chewy is a no-no. I am sure you were given a list of foods to avoid. You need to eat slowly and try to keep the food on the tops of your teeth instead of all over when you chew. Anything that is capable of exerting a shearing force on your brackets will cause them to break off. You just need to learn to eat in a way that does not pop your brackets off.
Q:I tried wax but it won't stick onto the bracket. It's been bothering me since this morning usually it stops while in school but this time it just kept pinching and grabbing onto the skin in my mouth! What should I do? It really hurts!
It can be really painful and it feels like you cannot do anything. Unless it is the wire that's bothering you, just ignore it. I had the same problem, just try your best to endure it and eventually you wont feel a thing. Goodluck!
Q:Hey, so i have some maths homework and it's called multiplying brackets and says i need to expand and simplify! I really need some help on how to do it, i've had a really hard weekend and i forgot how to do it!
Can you provide an example of the problem? if if understand your question correctly you're asking how you would solve something like this 2(3+4+5) Essentially you're using the distributive property to multiply the number touching the parenthesis (or brackets) to all numbers within the bracket. 2(3+4+5) can be written as 2*3+2*4+2*5 2*3 6 2*4 8 2* 5 10 6+8+10 24 2[3(4+5)] is done in a similar way, you start with the outermost bracket and distribute to ALL numbers inside the square bracket. 2*3(4*2+5*2) 6(8+10) 48+60 108
Q:For a program trying to print out all the possible values of the AUGC combination of mRNA, the out put ofString aucg AUCG ; // Input, String class for(int i 0; i lt; aucg.length( ); i++) // Loop control { for (int j 0; j lt; aucg.length( ); j++) // Loop control { for(int k 0; k lt; aucg.length( ); k++) // Loop control // Output System.out.print ( + aucg.charAt(i) + aucg.charAt(j) + aucg.charAt(k) + ); System.out.println();}}is different from the output if we put brackets in the last For loop likefor(int k 0; k lt; aucg.length( ); k++) // Loop control{ // Output System.out.print ( + aucg.charAt(i) + aucg.charAt(j) + aucg.charAt(k) + ); System.out.println();}How is the output affected (or how is the program running differently) if we add or do not add the brackets under a For loop? Thanks.
If you don't place brackets, the for loop will only execute the first following command in the loop. So in the first case where you don't place brackets, one iteration of the for-loop will consist of: System.out.print ( + aucg.charAt(i) + aucg.charAt(j) + aucg.charAt(k) + ); While, in the second case where you did place brackets, one iteration will be: System.out.print ( + aucg.charAt(i) + aucg.charAt(j) + aucg.charAt(k) + ); System.out.println(); And that it the difference.
Q:For example: I worked as a volunteer (The team that I was in stressed co-ordination, organization, communicative skills and patience.)So, my question is - should I finish the sentence in brackets with or without the period?Tnx
In this case, you should have a period right after volunteer, and keep the period where it is. If the sentence in brackets/parentheses is not a complete sentence, however, use then you put the last un-bracketed word, the open bracket, the phrase, the closing bracket, and then the period. In other words This is what your sentence should be: I worked as a volunteer. (The team that I was in stressed co-ordination, organization, communicative skills and patience.) If the bracketed phrase is not a full sentence, do something like this: I worked as a volunteer on a team (which stressed co-ordination, organization, communicative skills and patience).
Q:I bought an old frame from craigslist. I assumed that it was Italian from the info he gave me, the fact it is incredibly lightweight and the really fancy lugs. It was sandblasted and all of the decals and badges were removed. The only identifying marks on the frame were the serial number on the bottom bracket: x33478, and the on remaining bottom bracket cup which had, T.D.C. Made in England, stamped to the side of it.Jumping ahead of schedule, I ordered an Italian bottom bracket (the previous owner measured the BB to 70 mm). When it got here I tried to put it in. Evidently it is not 70 mm (bummer). So I was playing around with it and found out that both bottom bracket cups are left hand thread. I repeat, BOTH BOTTOM BRACKET CUPS ARE LEFT HAND THREAD (not the BB I bought, but the threading on the frame).Sheldon Brown has offered no help on the subject, neither has bike forums, so I am turning to you, Yahoo Answers. Can you help me? What kind of bottom bracket do I need?
This is a long question but bear with me. You are not going to like this. Not at all. There are just 2 possibilities and either one demands that the frame be scrapped. 1) You may have a frame with a Whitworth threaded bottom bracket. The thing here is that they are nowhere near the diameter of any modern unit so the (slim) possibility of being able to retap the bottom bracket is gone. For some reason that I can't get my head around there were a couple of factories that preferred both cups left hand, others that did both cups right hand, and some that did one right/one left BUT it was all Whitworth; 2) There were some bikes made slightly behind the Iron Curtain, in Poland, the Czech Republic, East Germany, and West Germany that had a 2 piece cottered crank. The drive side cup was put in the frame with the bearing surfaces facing out, the crank put through, and the remaining cup installed. These were LH on both sides as well and I have no idea what the threads were- I just know they don't accept anything else. As time went on and the cotterless crank became more the standard, enterprising individuals found other bikes, pulled the old crank and drive side cup out, then refitted with a cup from the donor bike and used a new spindle. I am not aware of those bikes EVER having a factory installed cotterless crank. Like much of this early technology it was quickly overtaken as the Japanese Revolution took over and became more of a standard product. I can only suggest one thing- go to a well equipped shop and ask them to try and chase the threads. Some shops will refuse due to the high cost of the tool, and I would personally refuse because it was already attempted in my shop and failed along with the destruction of a $150 tap.
Q:i heard a noise coming from my bottom bracket. but only noticeable when i am really putting some torque into the crank at a high gear. other wise it is not there. it almost sounds like the bearings are really rubbing in the cups. i took the bearings out and re greased them with a water proof grease and it is still there. i also cleaned the pedal bearings and re greased them as well. this bike only has about 200 miles on it and i bought it about 3 months ago. could it be that the bearings are bad, just crap. or could it be something else. this bike is a 220 dollar mongoose. please help.
This question comes up enough that answers should pop up as you are typing the question. It is probably NOT your bottom bracket. What else do you put stress on when you pedal hard? Your handlebars and stem! Remove the stem from the steerer- lubricate and reinstall with the correct torque. Loosen and retighten the handlebars to the correct torque. Test. Since frame tubes are, well, tubes, they telegraph sound. Since most tubes meet at the bottom bracket thats where the most noise collects.
Q:I got my braces on Monday and they haven't caused me any trouble up until now. I guess they put glue on each tooth where the brackets were suppose to go. So what happened was, I was just sitting here doing my homework and the bracket just popped up! I wasn't messing with it or anything. It's like, the bracket is still connected to the dried glue or whatever and is still intact put it's not on my tooth. Did I do anything wrong like brushing too hard? I just want to know what caused this. I'm going to the orthodontics first thing in the morning though.
You are fine. It's normal to pop a bracket now and again. They will recement it for you at no additional charge and it won't have any long term negative impact on your treatment
