i needed some vinyl tile but i saw that vinyl roll was a lot cheaper.is a vinyl roll just vinyl tile that hasnt been cut?
That is basically correct. Vinyl rolls are sheet goods rolled in one piece to allow for seamless flooring. Tiles are boxed and set in place one at a time and is easier than installing sheet goods.
my tiles i am using are 13 inch, and i am doing a 4x8 wall,so i was wondering which is the best way to adhere it
The adhesive will vary with the type of substrate your tiling over. If your going over drywall in a NON wet area, you can use a mastic(easier to work with for a novice) or a thin set ( much cheaper). But if your doing a wet area such as a shower or tub surround, you really should be going over a cement board and a thin set only. Mastic will fail in a wet area. Since your doing a large tile, I would recommend a thin set only..Along with the proper trowel which is a 1/4x3/8ths. If you want brand names, the only 2 I ve used in the last 20+ years are H B Fuller ( Tec) and Custom Thin sets. In a professionaly done job, what level of imperfection is acceptable. 12x12 porcellaine tile installed over backerboatd.at least a dozen tiles set either higher, lower, or tilted. Comapny says this is acceptable.
The tiles need to be fixed. The previous answer from the contractor is correct. Bring in a second opnion and inform the original installers that they need to repair the job or lose the cost of repair to another contractor. If you've already paid for the services and used a credit card you can go to your bank and initiate a chargeback to recover your money.

Theres only a doorway no door separating my bedroom to my bathroom? Should I finish it with the Wood flooring or go with a ceramic tile?
I would opt for tile. If you are looking at ceramic tile, I would find a stone effect tile that has similar tones of beige/brown as your wood flooring. This will make for an easier transition when your eye follows the floor line into the bathroom. In addition, I would consider 12 x 12 tiles as opposed to the smaller Mosaic tile. This will open your bathroom and give the impression of larger area. I strongly advise that you do not use the wood flooring in your bathroom, as the moisture created and the occasional water spillage may cause the floors to warp after a short time. Water is a natural enemy of wood flooring!!!! Good luck.
In order to be able to tile the windows (instead of the white moulding) like in the second kitchen, what steps would I have to take? Just remove the moulding on the inside then tile?
Yes, carefully remove the moldings before tiling. Using a utility knife, cut the caulking between the molding and the wall first so you can pry them off with a prybar or small putty knife. In the picture, it looks like they also tiled inside the window frame as well. I would consider this carefully, as those windows are probably designed to be removed from the inside and tiling there could prevent you from replacing them in the future.
My landlord recently had new bath/shower faucets installed, but didn‘t have matching tiles put in place of the ones that had to be removed in a small section. Do I have a legitimate case against my landlord? It‘s such an eyesore. Everytime I shower, I see the unmatching tiles and get so angry. Aren‘t I deserving of matching tiles?
Actually, probably not. As long as the shower is covered with tile and not bare, it wouldn't be against any health issue. You could ask nicely, but I think since he didn't do it when the faucets were replaced, it isn't going to be done now. Some landlords are so stupid.....You are going to want to take better care of his property if he strives to keep in top condition. You have a bad attitude now I am sure not too eager to keep that shower clean. Am I right? Those kind of repairs are what makes a landlord into a slum landlord. EDIT: YES, you are deserving of matching tiles. Send him a note with your next rent check.
Specifically, what type of drill bit is required that won‘t chip the tile.
You need a masonry drill bit, put some electricians PVC tape on the tile and mark that where you want to drill. This stops the drill sliding on the shiny tile surface. Do NOT use the hammer action you would normally use for masonry, just use the drill steadily, once you're through the tile, job done.
